Anyone after a cheap webasto/eberspacher style heater?

Hmm, cheap for a reason? Buy cheap, buy twice? I don’t know but it has got me thinking that before I continue with the rebuild, should I consider an auxillary heater? It would be a nice to have but is it needed in a truck-cab? By the time mine is on the road it will be Winter 2019 before I know the answer to that one.

Well an eber/webby loom is 70 quid a controller is 70 quid, then theres all the other gubbins not counting the heater itself, I dont need one but am curious if they are any good?
If you google Eberspacher D2 and look closely at the heater casing its looks identical

By the time mines finished global warming will be helping me heat mine.
 
Whether it works or not wouldnt be my main concern, it is, will it set fire to my landy? Good price though, I'm seriously interested.

They are a warm air cabin heater for boats, motor homes, portacabins etc, used in truck cabs that have living quarters.
Poinless in LR etc, unless you plan sleeping in it during winter MO. Thermo Top water heater type is the only way to go for your motor.

They can be adapted to work, but would require air duct into the cabin.

If installed inside the cabin, it needs ambient air intake otherwise air would recirculate only, and steam up windows in seconds, combustion air intake, and exhaust.

Lots of people have fitted them into land rovers and the favourite place seems to be behind the seats.
No ambient air intake on the trucks they only heat the air thats in the cabin
