Good send off for the Landrover...it finishes production this year after 67 years.

Not as much content as I was expecting but good all the same.

One thing I didnt know that was mentioned in the prog...the Landrover was voted the world best ever car/truck whatever you call it by the viewers.

Nick.

Would have thought a modern electric winch would be a better job,but I am no expert with winches only seen them doing their stuff on challenge events ect. The shackle at the top looked a bit small for my liking.

Hammond could have been sat in a number of different vehicles there really. I did wonder what the winch bumper was attached to, i imagine it wasn't just the 4 bumper bolts onto the chassis, and i expect a lot of work was done to ensure all mounts, etc. were solid first.

I did also wonder if the engine and petrol tank were empty? otherwise, surely oil would have leaked out the dip stick, through the bulkhead onto him and equally fuel would have leaked out from under the (very non-removable looking) bucket seat he was sat in...

not a bad stunt, but, some observations!

thought the winching up the dam was good, I certainly couldn't have sat in the car without passing out :D or having a toilet installed.

as a send off for the land rover overall didn't think much of it
