Switch the master switch near the battery to 'on', disconnect the earth cable, then reconnect it. If there are big sparks then something is drawing current. If there are only very tiny sparks then you could risk your multimeter by switching it to it's 10A setting, disconnecting the negative lead from the battery and connecting the multimeter inbetween - don't operate any of the electrics like this though or you'll fry the meter. It should read no more than 20mA I think. If these test are showing something is wrong, then you could first try disconnecting the alternator, and do the test again. Pull out the fuses until the problem goes away. The fuse or electrical connection that stops the problem will indicate which part of the electrical system is draining your battery.
