Any decent reasonable priced mechanics/garages capable of dealing with my Defender 110? Burnley area?

I was recently most disappointed to discover that Burnley Car and Truck is no longer in business. Over the past 30 or so years I have relied on this most reasonably priced and accommodating business to work on/ bodge and do pretty much everything in my automotive realm, from basic servicing to full chassis changes..

So, now I need to find another place that isn't charging too much, or it might well be the case that I can't afford to maintain my old lady.. She has served me well for many years but is getting a bit too leaky and draughty and.. "it's a Land Rover" as they say.. haha..

Does anyone here have any recommendations?

Just basic maintenance really.. Some doors don't shut properly.. Draughts and odd leaks here and there coming in rendering the heating less than stellar.. needs a sunroof replacement and alpine windows.. Servicing, MOT etc..

Recently had a few electrical issues and was stunned for 200 quid for an alternator replacement but seems ok on the electrics now..

I don't have garage facilities myself so not able to do much even if I do have the tools and some mechanical skills..

If the 200 quid for alternator was supply and fit, then I would say that is not to bad.

What you need is a hgv mechanic who does work on the side. but not many hgv mechanics do work on the side!

Does it need alpine windows, or has the seal perished and so is letting in water.

Alpine windows and sunroof where vandalised and broken by kids who thought it was a good idea to climb on the roof or whatever..

Basically I need a recommendation for a local wrencher who can service it and put it through the MOT etc..
