Or springs or shockers, or tyres out of balance ...

A bit more detail might help!

How old is it? What engine does it have? What tyres are you running on? etc.

C'mon ... gizza clue ...

hi .
i did do a search on the wobble of death........but it seems to be 1 of a hundred things on the search facility.
110 M reg 300tdi. tires bfg a/t, has uprated shocks. otherwise standard,
when i brought it the guy did say it needs 2 front tires as they have gone out of shape. been sitting for a long time,??.
i could only feel a slight wobble if that at the time, but a thousand miles in to driving i hit a minute crack in the rd...
jump i nearly went through the roof.........
55mph it drives sweet, 60 and a bump very very rough wobble very scary.
i dont mind getting my hands dirty at all , but when i first looked underneath the thing i was just thinkin what does that do and what r they

By out of shape tyres do you mean the surface goes up and down, like waves or that the tyres are oval?
Try swapping the front out of shape tyres for the rear round tyres and see if that improves things. It could be that they are causing the wobble or that the out of shape tyres have been caused by the wobble. I'm guessing they would improve things in the short term until they themselves become u/s though.

My money's on the shock absorbers though

i would of thought more oval then anything else, but they look perfect, i cant see any thing wrong with them at all. and wheels have already been swapped from front to back.
i think its time to pull in a few favours from my good squady friends and see what bits they can get me

don't know about this death wobble but a good garage Go Keith gott land rovers at Alton. Great service there and do proper good work. Labour cost is quite high but you know its getting done to good standard.

Hi,
Not got my Landy yet, but I'll probably use Chichester4x4 as they are just down the road from me, and their yard looks tidy and productive. I'll probably do the easy stuff myself, but until I get more experience i'd take it to a mechanic for the weird problems.

If you do use em, let us know how you get on.
