Any advice or instructions on replacing full steering rack ?

Morning guys about to attempt a full steering rack change in my freebie .. I'm going to be using the haynes manual and rave but just wondered of there's any pointers from anyone who's done t before ? I'm changing because it's got a really loud real and bang when turning left and right all bolts are okay and tight .. It sounds like it's coming from inside the rack itself so got myself a replacement guaranteed used part.
Any advice would be appreciated

Yeah, its a dick of a job. Nothing is particularly difficult, but access is really tight, especially lowering the rack to pull the stub where the steering column connects through the floor. Once thats done it slides out easily enough.

I'm all disconnected e ept from the two pipe unions .. its been pretty straight forward up until the last two connectors to take the two pipes off the rack .. I've undone the bolts slightly but they won't turn separately to the metal pipe that goes through them (I'm guessing that's how they come undone ) I've tried soaking g in wd40 but still it will spin inside the rack but the pipe in the nut won't spin separately leaving me the I ly orion is to twist all the hoses to spin the nuts free!! Very frustrating as I do t want to spin the tubing and risk snapping g the metal tubing ends !!
