Hi guys,

Got an email from someone I sold my V8 disco to... apparently he has been told by the MOT man that the vehicle will need an anti roll bar fitted if it was fitted with one at the factory. Not to have one fitted will result in a fail come the MOT. :doh: This is a new rule as from October 2010.

Is there any way I can discover whether my L reg disco was originally fitted with the anti roll bar? And has anyone else heard about this change?

Firstly thanks for that... it clarifies the first bit... but now I need to find out whether it had anti roll bars fitted when produced. I suspect that it probably did but I know the people I got the V8 from and they would never have removed the bar... in fact they wouldn't have known how to find the damn thing !

I think it's going to depend a lot on your testing station.

Rangie classic had them fitted from 1990........I would say yes as my disco had them aswell. 97 R

why do you need to find out? surely it's down to the current owner to find out or the mot station to say they were fitted, how would the test station find out if they were fitted from new? just tell em as far as your aware it's never had them fitted.
