I have spent a fair amount of time on the search bit and have now sussed how to fit a dual battery to my disco and how to wire in spots. My question is I want the spots wired to the second battery and to have the option of having them on at all times (even ignition off) where do I need to wire part 85 of the relay to so this will happen? Will it be okay to wire to say the live off the hazard switch?

Cheers in advance

Dont wire extra lights off any other circuit you will over load that circuit.

Take a live feed straight from the battery through a fuse to pin 30.
You can use another live fused feed through switch and an indicator to pin 85.

I think he means his hazard live for the live feed to switch his relay.

Your coil pins or 85 and 86 will need a always live supply so that engine on or off you can run your spots. The live to be switched will obviously come from your second battery.

So basically - always live ----- to pin 85, then from 86 via your switch to deck.

When you operate your switch, the coil activates and switches your live supply from your second battery to your spots.
