Hi Guys,

Go easy on me it's my first post! I'm the proud owner of a 2002 1.8 petrol 3dr serengeti (it's the wifes/dogs). I was horrified to read on here that mixing michelin synchrones and latitudes is a no no, had no idea, i've got 2 of each! Been on the car for a year without any problems although it's only done around 4k. The spare's a brand new synchrone. If I can get a new synchrone I'll have a full set, I realise they don't make them anymore, does anyone know where I could pick one up? Tried e-bay without success. Tyre size is 225/55 17. The car is road use only. If i can't get one I'll need to get my hands on two latitudes

Thanks, jc

Got offered it really cheap cause it hadn't been used for over two years, it was super low mileage and we needed something quick for the dog. And I didn't know the first thing about 4x4's (clearly!). Had no problems in two years though!

You might still get a new Synchrone, just keep looking and one will probably turn up.

I sold a brand new one in 225/55R17 just a few months ago.
Usual story in as much as the vehicle was still wearing the original Synchrones and the spare had never been used (tucked away under the cover) so I went and bought a set of five matching tyres (Hankook which have been very good) and sold the 'new' spare on Ebay for £50.
The chap who bought it had already done similar deals and was looking for one more to make a full set.
