Ok, I've searched and searched and can't find any problems the same as the one I've got.
If I leave my 300tdi unlocked for a few minutes, when I try to start it the engine is immobilised and it won't start. Key symbol lights up, etc.
If I press either of the key fob buttons, it'll start.
If I lock the car with the fob when I get out and unlock it to get back in, it'll start no problem.
It's no big deal, because it will stil start once I've activated the fob, but there's something wrong somewhere and it's bugging me.

all the info is in your owners handbook. There's nothing wrong, press the unlock button or move the fob closer to the ignition switch if the key symbol is illuminated.
