Hi all,
Bought a 2002 freelander td4 auto a couple of weeks ago. Found it had a real hard 3rd to 4th change, did cause the HDC light at kne point. After searching on here and various places, I sourced one of those clutch drum thingies and changed that out. Couldn't see any real issues but put new one on anyway. Replaced the fluid that came out and went through the refill procedure. Car has run fine the past week until today, coming home from work, the revs shot up and lost drive, let off accelerator and back on and had drive back, but every gear change is hard, like hitting a pothole. Seems to change gear at the right time just very harsh (but no where near as bad as before)
I have done the resistance check on the plug and they all come back slightly higher then the spec, but consistent across them all, and the plug seems to fit together tight. My thought was the oil might be low so I have gone through the procedure again and actually had some come out, looked fine and still smells nice.
Any other ideas I could look at? Can the solonoids be taken out and tested?
Thanks all
