I think we need to get back to square one and find out precisely which relays are in and which are out and which pipes are in and which are out and exactly what the software is showing. A pic would be good.

Good luck on the pic...one laptop gone under hammer second on it's way by the sounds of it can't connect anything to car to diagnose readings...whats the chance of a pic upload...the only one that needs to go back to square one is OP and read advice given...

This is what we use 3G sits in front room signal as far as bottom of garden ...unlimited download...even works when we take it with us over the border in Spain...
This is what I use,even with a full signal on the modem I still have connection problems, I was told its because during lockdown so many people are using Zoom ,Skype and the likes.I took it to the Cannaries but we live up in the mountains and cannot get connected,don't know if that's a good thing or a bad one.:)

so i am on the state to give up.

i been listening to advise. i did everything people suggested.

i can not establish and read connection to the is dreaded car.
i also dont know what the previous owners done to it to save the money for repairs.

i downloaded multiple usb to serial rs232 drivers. nothing seems to work.

u cant get any rx readings.

i checked all wires behind the panels under the carpet passenger side, eas connection. replaced the delay relay.
i even checked the becm in case some cut those wires for coil conversation to switch the eas off.

this car beaten me to the point i didnt have any proper sleep in a week never mind anything other then a sandwich every time i needed it.

that was only once happen but i could sell the car then for what i bought it.

i run out of ideas and will power on it.
unless a magic button appears - thats it .
there is no other way as coils. ( sorry but not starting buying eas units and other stuff without guarantee it would work, neither buying from rsw the software and a new cable for nearly 200 pound either. )
 
Don't give up!!? Is there no one nearby that can come and lend a hand.
Check in the lz map to see if there is anyone close by... Don't do the spr**gs thing.... Arrrrrrrr.......

I dont have any choice.
I cant fiddle for month to get it evtl sorted.
I trying for 1 week just to get the faults up to know what's wrong.
I cant even do that because nothing works.
Everyone I know dosnt work on cars or uses obd.
And the garages I know dont touch it because they have no idea.

You need someone to help you that knows what they are doing simple as that. One of the things you need to learn on here is who to listen to and who not to listen to.

car - which is a wonder I got it all back together without left over screws.

I checked and cleaned.connection. even the door l
Ines.
I checked the becm of any cable being cut.
All seems to be working and no cuts in wires.

Still not reading. And everytime after I try a couple times i get the message the cable driver stopt communicating or is outdated.

I had a friend coming around with this landrover diagnostic tool yesterday.
It cant even find the car.

Wait til you get 5G, apparently it’s to die for.

OP you need someone familiar to look it over for you before you have a pull.
Personally I saved everyone here all the hassle and ripped EAS out day1, but even then you need to satisfy the electrical side of it and not so easy to change your mind after.

5G is only as good as the system capacity to support it, we have only just got 3G and when the kids come out of school it's unusable. Shame they cannot concentrate on getting 4G coverage completed and with enough capacity

I'm pretty sure the problem is with the USB driver, you have to remove the old drivers before installing the correct one. If Windows has installed a generic driver it will always use that no matter what you install.
 
I'm just taking all drivers I downloaded off it.
Then try again.
I / we disabled on the laptop to allow generic driver for it.

I am using.5g in towns for the mobile and tab. Not sure about computer.
It dosnt make a.difference to 4 as far as I encountered at least on mobile and tab.

And - yes I know once starting to get coils in cables need to be cut unless you have the cable.loom for the becm.

Even if I would get coils in - I would just get the bags out and leave what i can in it so if I ever sell it the next owner may want to convert it back and fiddle. ( the eas is non functional if the relay in the enginebsy is non existent. / no power to engage ) I am sure i could sell the working bags box with working pumpp and valves incl another box with everything inside and working but the pump for about 400 quit.
Which would be the amount I spendet in the car without result.

But first I try to re install another driver and try again.

You need to confirm which USB to serial adaptor you have, it will either be Prolific or FTD, both sites offer a test facility and a driver should ONLY be down loaded from their sites not from any old download you can find on Google.

You would be lucky to get more than £100 for the valve block, if your compressor was brand new you might get 80% of your cash back. There are plenty of ECU's on the web for not much cash.

Go to this site http://www.prolific.com.tw/US/ShowProduct.aspx?p_id=225&pcid=41
Scroll down and you will find in the red text PL2303 CheckChipVersion, with just the adaptor plugged in, it should tell you if the adaptor is a Prolific device and which version it is. If you can relay that information to me I can take it a step further.
If it says not recognised it will be an FTDI device and I can't find a test for that.

It's not the newest. Tbf win 7 is ages old.

And I have no idea about the win 1p laptop.
I seen what you suggested before how to figure it.
I dunno.

I know this laptop has no com ports showing because some.asshat decided laptops on win 10 dosnt need them.

Which means I stuck .

Win 10 has plenty of comm ports, it must have USB sockets and if it does it has comm ports, just not so easy to find
You could try loading the EAS software onto your win 10 machine, I know it doesn't have a disk drive but you could download the EAS software from the web, plug you cable in and see what happens. On my Win10 machine the EAS drop down menu shows 12 comm ports and comm 4 works. I did not need to download a driver on Win 10.
