Happier.

I fink I need to apologise for losing my rag. I've been having a bad week (really, really rare for me). And your comment of "not my problem" when it was pointed out that selling a V5 and VIN for a Land Rover would assist thieves in shifting a nicked Landy really tipped me over the edge.

Glad you *finally* saw the error of your ways.

No Problem :) :)

Yes I have to admit my comment didn't look good did it! LOL

Have to say looks like your all right on that they want ID for stolen vehicels, and my idea of them going for restorations or new builds doesn't look like that happens! Funnily enough late last night an email came through on ebay for the ID he sounded well dodgy, and have to say that prompt'd me even more so to remove it!

Would have thought an rrc1971 be well worth fixing up for its tax exempt status?!?

Well I got it as a donor car, for my 1970 2 Door which is a very low chassis number ;).........sadly the 1971 car was totally rotten, the chassis is pretty much non existant, all the innerwing (Front and Rear) need replacing as do the inner and outer sills, as does the bulkhead, wheel arches, floors, rear goal posts, pretty much the whole car! I don't like seeing Range Rover Classics getting broke as i'm a huge RRC nut!! However this one is far too gone, oh yeah engine was missing too!

I did manage to save some bits of interior, doors, wings, bonnet and bits, but the rest is scrap I have never seen a Range Rover so rotten!! It was only given to me so not bad really and if you see the price of 2 door stuff you will see why haveing a donor car has been rather handy!!

Its a shame but if at least 1 panel on it wasn't rotten I might have had something to weld to!! If you look at my display photo the 71 is the black one, my 1970 is the green one, and then at the end is my red 1986 4dr which is now on the road after a full rebuild :)

Oooh will have to look out for that one. Theres one just out side Kings Lynn, Hillington, he had loads of old 2 and early 4 doors sit out there, the 2 door all dissapeared a few years ago though, however there still loads of early 4 doors and 1, 2 door sit there. Would love to get my hand on one of the early 4 doors though :) But i guess I can't save them all! Lol

Tim, respect to you for how you dealt with this barrage of abuse.

We like Tim.

How the hell does that get through?
Looking at the pics, I can't see many (if any) of the points being retained!

I suppose the sweetener is that they 'allow MG enthusiast groups to pick over the carcasses'...for a (probably inflated) fee I presume...
