hi,
done a search and while some new light has been shed on what could be the issue i haven`t found either the end result of the same issue that i have.
when i use my wipers in any of the settings then turn them off, they wont turn off for anything between 5-20mins, just merrily wiping away to themselves.
now i replaced the wiper stalk (without removing the steering wheel) and teast before i clipped it back into its housing and it worked spot on, all excited i built it back up thinking job done......
no its still doing the same, but saturday night we went out and had a little go through a quarry and we had the heaters on quite hot and it worked as it should until we got back onto the road and turned off the heaters again.
now all i can think of is the wiring loom from the stalk to wherever it goes, had a look and cant see much wrong.
any ideas on what it could be?? i suppose reading through the replies it could well be the relay as heat or jiggling about could cause it to work but i dont understand how it would work in my hand with the wiring loom a little more taught....
i have other issues but this is by far the most annoying at this time.
thanks for taking the time to read this in advance and look forward to hearing your advice.
thanks, gaz.
