Annoying Squek isolated now some help on what i need to fix

I have isolated my annoying squeak and vibration to the UJ on the front propshaft, still new to the grease monkey stuff so if someone can help me on all the parts i need to order so that when i take it to bits I replace everything I need to!

Sorry for being a numpty but we all need to start somewhere!
 
PROPELLER SHAFTS
1 REPAIR
PROPELLER SHAFT - FRONT
Service repair no - 47.15.02
Remove
1. Raise vehicle on four post lift.
2. Mark propeller shaft and drive flanges for
reassembly.
3. With assistance, remove 4 nuts and bolts
securing each propeller shaft flange.
NOTE: Raise 1 front road wheel and rotate
propeller shaft as necessary to gain
access to all fixings.
CAUTION: Assistance is necessary to
support propeller shaft when fixings are
removed.
4. Remove propeller shaft.
Refit
5. Clean mating faces of flanges.
6. Position propeller shaft. Align flange markings.
7. Fit bolts and new Nyloc nuts. Tighten to 48 Nm
(35 lbf.ft)
NOTE: Fit bolts with heads toward transfer
box and away from differential.
8. Lower vehicle.

okies propshaft is now in the garage and the UJ is apart, wow was knakered glad I caught it...could have been expensive.

Going to pick up a replacement 2moro, however wondering if there is a fitment difference between the standard part and the heavy duty part...and if it's worth the extra 8 quid?

the fittings should be the same, i would compare them in the shop or ask, if you can take yer old one or the complete union with you just in case, at least then you can have them look at it for you!
 
Well bought the car a month ago for £2k on a 96N, 155k on the clock and what sounded like a serious transmission problem......thats cost me a Tenner to put right, she is running sweet now with only a small oil leak to sort and the cooling to flush through and a new A/c Condenser to fit! I think i got lucky!!! (touch wood)!
 
rocker cover and Condenser is shot, mate is Auto electrician and he pressure tested it for me, stuck some gass in to find the leak and it was ****ing out of the condenser
 
have you taken the slam panel off? the leak will be on the left corner, at the top, clean it up a bit and go to the local motorist shop. there will be some 2 part filler designed for aircon systems and engine blocks etc. read the packet. the metal is weak on that corner due to manufacture process and i have heard of new ones lasting 12 month!

worth a try for 3 quid's worth of liquid metal stuff!

obviously rocker cover gaskets are easy, might be worth you cleaning em up and give a coat of black spray while they are off!!!
 
yeah probs will, my mate is coming up at the weekend to give me a hand, hes all things mechanical and is going to flush out the props and grease the UJs, do the rocker cover for me and coolant system. replace all the axel oils etc. should be a fun weekend....lubricated with plenty of grolsh lol
