And another 90 rebuild

Hi Folks,

Not been near the 90 for a few months what with holidays and work. Anyway today I managed to get a few hours and rolled it out of the garage and gave it a good jet spray. Then traffic film remover followed by another jetting. Now I can see a little better what needs doing. I have decided to overhaul the rear of the 90 then when that is completed then move on to the front. So looking at it today there are a few bits that need either patching up or replacing. Having looked through the drawings and the parts list, I cannot find a name for this cross piece, nor can I find a replacement that looks like it online. Can it be replaced or is it classed as part of the chassis and I need to patch it up?

Cheers for that. I have had a search but it seems like the bloke who made them has gone out of business. If anyone has a link to someone selling them I would appreciate it. If not then I have a lot of patching to do :)

OK next daft question. I am looking at ordering all the replacement parts for the rear end. I have removed the rear springs and they both stand 16.5 inch tall. I have spent the last hour searching to try to find out if these are standard height or lifted springs. Anyone help out here?

Some info here
They come colour coded with different combinations of coloured stripes on each one. IIRC they are all slightly different lengths so the vehicle stands level. This compensates for fuel tank and other uneven weights in the vehicle.

Thanks for the link, I found it earlier but don't think it helps. I think it might be lifted. The springs are mainly rusty silver but there are some flakes of yellow around the top. When I got it it looked like this photo which seems, to me at least, a bit higher than normal. Can anyone say? I just need to know what to order and am open to any suggestions. It will mainly be used for country lanes but I might be tempted into a bit of green laning in the future :)

Just put standard springs on. Your Landy is incredibly capable in it's standard form. More than capable to do green laning. I've just got Britpart ones on mine and they are fine. Very cheap too.

Ok then perhaps another daft question, but if it has been lifted already, will other bits not have been changed? Or can I just go back to standard easily?
I've never played around with lifting mine. My understanding is this, lifting the front affects steering geometry and you really should use castor corrected radius arms. I think you can get adjusted swivel balls and so on, but I've not looked in to it. You don't have that to worry about on the back so just put standard spings in as a replacement. Unless, you still want a lifted back.
Hopefully, someone will correct this if I'm wrong.
