Post #2 - did offer to help, not doing it for him but would have helped. Would have been a good learning experience.
Too late now as too much on in the coming week, but would have been available all day today as would have been my double garage and tools.

Yes, it would be prohibitively expensive to rely on garages all the time. I realise people who work in them have to make a living - rent/mortgage to pay, kids demanding games consoles and iPhones for Christmas and the like - but I can't afford to support all that single handed!

Cant be to many mechs earning less than 100 quid a day employed, then theres the employers 18 percent NI contribution/pensions plus over heads etc etc

When people ask me what defenders are like I always reply the same, bags of **** and if you cant diy you cant afford to run one, its so true!
