Struggling to change bulkhead to outrigger bolt on my 88" series 2a.
The bolt has come out as far as the bulkhead, so is not fastened (think the bulkhead has dropped)
Am I safe to drive on normal roads whilst it is not fixed?
What potential damage could it cause?

Hammer it back, or jack under bulkhead foot gently, then knock it out

Your Landy is not safe to drive without that bulkhead bolt in place, so please don't as I already go to too many funerals!!!

I have tried jacking yo, prising apart, heating up, small hammer, big hammer, I am bluddy out of ideas. I will be trying again later today and just hope it comes together before I cut it up and scrap it ( no won't do that)
Next step after today is find another pair of eyes, hands and mind to help out

What direction does it need to go in to get the holes lined up? Up? down? sideways? If it's only a little way out you can sometimes make progress by grinding a bit of a taper on the bolt so it lines up as you hammer it in. I've pushed things sideways on my Land Rover by bracing a jack against the kerb and pushing the vehicle to one side. In my case it was to get the Panhard rod on, but it should work for body parts too.

Thanks for replies guys, I managed to fix the problem
Needed to Jack up bulkhead and push it inwards, also push the outrigger forward to, but only very little. Used a Jack on slant to Jack bulkhead, used straps to bring outrigger into place and it slid in with ease.... Job done in less than an hour.. Thanks all once again for replies
