Hi all broke down yet again a few miles from Swansea on Saturday afternoon,
RAC man says its the alternator not charging battery so brought me back to my local garage in Wrexham.
Right:- garage put new alternator on started car alternator got very hot thought might be faulty so had another one put on that too got hot,(now waiting for a auto electrician)
Has any one else had this problem if so please tell me as this bill is going up and up
Best regards to you all.....
Chas

obiously either a wire has got traped somewhere or a wire has rubbed on something and now is shorting just have a look and check all the wire you can see

Update:-
garage was putting on 150 amp alternators where as James Edwards of Chester says it should be 120 amp, by the I forgot to mention that the car is a Freelander 1 TD4 52 plate.
Regards Chas
