Thanks Nodge, That is what I was hoping to hear. The car will be doing a low mileage so 25k will probably last it out, no point in spending more on the Delphi ones.
When you're looking for aftermarket parts it's hard to know if they're a bit more expensive because they're better or because the seller is chancing his/her arm.

It is a mine field Ali. I'm thinking of fitting some cheap EBay wishbones to my own SE. Just to see how they last really.

The ones in Carparts4less come to £83 with their current discount but there is no guarantee they're any better than the 20 quid ebay jobs, having said that they deliver to Northern Ireland for free, most companies charge stupid money to deliver here so my choices are poor.

I took a quick look at the Starline website (Eurocarparts) and was so impressed I ordered Bearmach wishbones from Amazon.
£91 delivered so I'll report back when they arrive. The Starline kit might be great quality but their website is complete Sh1te so that seems unlikely, Bearmach seem to be a reasonable compromise between price and quality from what I've seen so far.

You'll need the large rear bush too Ali. Those can be very difficult to remove undamaged.

I have a couple of spare ones kicking around so should be fine. I use a pair of plumbers footprints to grip the end of the tube so I don't over stress the bush.

I bought a pair of genuine large bushes off EBay last week for £15 including delivery. Thankfully getting the old rear bush out the alloy housing is relatively easy.

I used Delphi wishbones, but confess to using aftermarket rear bushes from Rimmers after failing miserably to get the original bushes off the original wishbones!

They can be a challenge to remove sometimes. I use plenty of copper grease when fitting them. This makes them easier to remove next time.

I did exactly that! A nice smear of copper grease on the rear wishbone bearing shaft - even if I don't benefit from this, someone else might! :)

This thread kind of went off at a tangent!
I think it's a good idea but needs to be a spreadsheet or other document that can be updated and downloaded when needed.
I just fitted a vauxhall Sigma front hose to my Hippo cos I couldn't get a Freelander one quick enough.
It's the same length but needs a bit of fettling of the caliper and teh strut bracket to fit. No its not ideal but it was nearly half the price and worth an extra 15 minutes to fit.
