So I'm trying to replace the glow plug relay in my 10P TD5. I've seen Britpart ones for £15-£20 or OEM ones for £50. I felt like this is one of those things where you're paying an LR premium, even on the non-branded stuff. Googling around it looks like the whole thing is pretty generic. The code on the side of mine is V23134-J57-X254. Searching for this only comes back with LR parts, so I'm guessing it's one of those things where they gave LR they're own special code but it's essentially just another model with a different code.
Is there anything to stop me just buying this:
It's less than a tenner, original manufacturer, and it's rated up to 70A with the same configuration. What's the problem? I've seen Bosch parts at a similar price as well. ChatGPT guessed that the first part of the code is the type of relay, the second part a manufacturer reference, and the last part a batch number. Sounds like a big guess though. That V23134 part seems pretty common.
