Not having much luck.. huh.
How close are the tolerances, maybe its tough for them to get that close.
what company is it out of curiosity as I plan to get some made eventually.

There is always something like this on a big project. The spring in the pic is 3mm too small, I fitted it and let the car down on it but it wouldn't go over the seat. I did tell them what the min ID was so they should be able to work to that and they never mentioned that some might be bigger or they might have an issue keeping to the ID spec.

The company is Springcoil in Sheffield, Suspension Springs Manufacturer I sent them the weights of the car and specs for the suspension travel and what frequency I wanted and when the second rate should come in and that the ends should taper, plus drawings for the seats, they designed them on their computer and sent me a sheet which I looked over and ok'd.
I think the issue may be that the guy making them hasn't got my vehicle infront of him and some things discussed with the office wern't properly relayed. The quality of the springs looks good and they are guaranteed not to sag etc, anoying thing is there is a spring on their home page just like the one I want them to make  we will get there in the end.
I suspect if you sent them a spring to copy there wouldn't be a prop.

What's that module attached to the MS ECU?

Yes I saw that on S&S facebook page. I won't be doing it :( I would of liked to as I have done some excellent events there in the past.
I will be spectating though. Have you seen the Team recovery course, that looks interesting.

Ow wil be interesting watching the team recovery course. Not being involved laying it out or running it this year is quite nice. I'm sure they have done a great job on the course. Not seen it yet so can't really wait!!

I'm still wating for the third set of springs, hopefully I should have them next week.
I have just put the eyelets in the window nets and fitted them and started on the passenger side dash. I am making a splash sheild to go over the box that will have the engine ecu in it and also incorporating in the sheild an Innovate AFR meter. I also welded a boss onto the downpipe for the wideband sensor.

Well I have finally got some springs fitted, this set was also slightly too small too fit the seats so I ran round them with my die grinder. I don't think I will get any more springs off them if I need any after testing.
I have also started painting. the first coat in the pic is etch primer. I have been applying the gloss today but no pic's as yet.

I have been checking the gloss today, I need to flat the roof and put asecond coat on otherwise not to bad, or perhaps I should say ok for a comp motor.
I'm not to sure about the ride height as yet, I think it could be a touch lower. I will wait to see how it goes over bumps as it may also need a different rate.
