You could also fit D2 front radius arms, they articulate better. Alot of competition motors with RRC or Disco axles convert to D2 front radius arms.

If you want one Simon your welcome to it I can post for the price of postage it's still attached to my old 3.5:1 axle last used a few years back its possible it was only used for a year as I fitted a new one I had new in LR box kicking about to one of the salisburys either that one or the later 4.7:1 can't remember if I'm honest.

If I need anything like that I can pinch the old mans mill or lathe

I picked up my axles for less that 200 because I waited for a bargin. There about 4 " wider stock. You would fit offset rims to gain even more.

If anyone is interested there are a pair of disco 2 axles on midland rover owners club facebook for £200 (not mine and nothing to do with me)

Thanks for the offer Jai, put it to one side and I will see you at the national if not before. I don't expect I will convert it To A frame but you never know I might build an 80" one day.

Well Iv'e had a month of decorating, brownie points amassed so I have purchased these, Stainless steel and susposedly stronger than the 32mm steel versions out there. The track rod is a custom length to fit my D2 axle and P38 PAS box. I particulary like the steering damper bracket. should be back in the workshop soon.

Nice, they look good, I like them a lot :D

They make a verticle piece that fits in the steering damper bracket if you have the pin type damper.
I think I will go with an OE Disco 2 damper.
