My freelander had the standard 6500 cd-Europe head unit fitted and ive been offered a brand new Land Rover alpine multi disc player I just wondered if it will work with my radio I removed it tonight and did notice there is a spare block connector fitting on the head unit? Would be nice as only asking £40 for the multichanger and all wires and instructions any ideas ? Cheers

If your existing head unit is Alpine and has the facility to control an Alpine multi CD changer then go for it, the controlling data between the two units will be compatible.
You will find the data cable and power power supply sockets already in the back of the head unit if it has the controlling facility that is.
Instruction specs for both units will give compatible info on both units if u wish to double check yourself.
So you can ignore the link as that only shows patch leads required when fitting a replacement head unit of another brand.

Thanks for your help for £40 for a brand new multi changer must be worth a go

I purchased a brand new Pioneer CD multi changer for £35 with all the fitting kit and paperwork in the box that had be on a garage shelf, by the oily smell, for a few years although, and it now been superseded it did retail at £165 and a perfect match for my Pioneer head unit. So well pleased I got rid of the standard LR/Philips kit :clap2:
