all lights flashing no brakes

Hi I have a 1999 p38 diesel stated to get abs traction control srs faults no eas at all on dash slow max speed 35mph, brakes soft no speedo heaters or fans don't work sometimes goes after 2 mins sometimes short drive, now flash's alternator failed then goes off faults remain, do I need a new alternator and will it fix it thanks Andy

If it says alternator fault then odds on it is an alternator fault. No juicy no worky. Maybe just needs brushes and controller and slip rigs truing up if you are lucky.

thanks wammers it didn't say alternator fault at first only started yesterday does the car stop using none essential items when charge is low thanks Andy

The alternator maintains base voltage in the battery and increases rate as more systems are used lowering the battery voltage. P38s don't like low voltage. If your alternator is duff systems won't work properly. Get it tested and sorted out.
