With the price of electricity as it is, and the relative short life of batteries (compared to an internal combustion engine) I think electric vehicles have no appeal to me.

You've got to think "outside the box" (to quote management speak ). Just pack 40,000 AA batteries in the back of your Landy. Should be enough to get you to the shops so you can buy another lot .I am converting my 90 to electric. Only problem is the 400 mile extension lead I have packed in the back
If I'm still around I wait for hydrogen powered tech on existing engines ,they are hyping up electric but the electrical infrastructure and distribution is not there to charge all these vehicles
I can send you mine, it too is lifeless! With their reputation of superlative electrical systems, I'm sure an all electric Land Rover will stand quite well with their stellar internal combustion models.
In fact, it would be great to have a new clean modern Land Rover sitting uselessly in the drive next to the other dead or dying Range Rovers I own.
That'll be the big debate. An environmentally friendly Landy with an internal combustion engine which can't go anywhere because its broken. Or a leccy one which can't go anywhere because its made by Land Rover who aren't the best at leccy anythingWith their reputation of superlative electrical systems, I'm sure an all electric Land Rover will stand quite well with their stellar internal combustion models.

The electric one will not drop as much oil all over the roadThat'll be the big debate. An environmentally friendly Landy with an internal combustion engine which can't go anywhere because its broken. I am sure it can be built in so we know it is a genuine LR productThe electric one will not drop as much oil all over the road
