Freelander 1 alarm

Presumably one of the sensors is faulty - there might be a code stored if you plug in a diag machine which will tell you which one's setting the alarm off.

Maybe you have mice in the car?
 
Disconnect and reconnect your battery after 20 minutes, it might sort it and it might not but worth a try
 
Try pressing the 'lock' button a second time after a brief pause, this de-activates the interior movement sensor and is generally used to prevent activation if a dog is left in the car. If this cures the problem then you may have something moving within the passenger space.
 
Mine goes off at the slightest thing. A bit of wind or vibration from other cars. Done it ever since I fitted the roll cage. I have to lock it on the key every time now.
 
I've discovered that my Freelander 1 alarm goes off when it's windy but only when I have a windscreen frost cover on. After a few tests, ANY movement of the aluminized cover sets off the alarm. This is the first time I've ever seen this effect on a car ! It appears to be the inside movement detector, so my work-around when leaving the car with a frost cover is to lock the car only with the door key, which arms the doors but not the interior. -If I close the car with the remote button it fully arms the interior as well.
 
If your car is full of holes or the window seals are worn and are letting air or water pass them then all you can do is either sort it out or just lock the car with the key and not the key fob

Try disconnecting the volume sensor behind the sunroof above the head lining (assuming it's a 5 door) and see if it will work as normal without, less the volume sensing.
