Sorry to re-bring this up but i have looked and tried so many different things its getting stupid, so as some people may know Im having overheating issues ATM, finally got some time to off work to and got the RAVE manual to bleed it through properly etc, now my battery's flat as a pancake (done this before but the keyfob still unlocked it) put it back on charge key fob does not work tried my emergency code by the owners manual standards with no avail ( code has 0's in between the number not sure why they are there though? tried re syncing the fob but i don't think its possible without the alarm de-activated? Whenever i turn the key to unlock or lock its beeps at me (one hell of a loud headache beep :p) and if i unlock and open the door the alarm goes off an jesus its loud, i read you can shut it up by inserting the key and switching just the ignition on? didnt wanna try becuase if not ill hafta disconnect the battery again, its a 2000 p38 diesel for info and any info is muchly appreciated, the only good thing i have achieved today is to renew my insurance witch went from 1500 to 900 not to bad ;)
cheers danny

My year 2000 petrol still accepts the EKA code with the alarm sounder disconnected.
I just pulled off the plug on the sounder while sorting a similar problem and yes it is bloody loud. Don't see why it should'nt be the same on a diesel.

Have you followed the correct EKA procedure, ensure key code lockout is not displayed on the dash etc.

Good luck.

are you sure you put the code in correctly and did you set it up to accept it by turning the key 3 times to the lock position before entering the code,to sync the key you have to put it in the ignition on the 2000 face lift models.
