Okay, problems. Start car with Key, and alarm goes off. Stop and restart, no issue. Leave for 5 Minuets, same problem when starting.

Do not have the push button key fob, so not likely that.

Rear windows has gone down once for no reasons, Finally got it to go up on the button. Now Back door wont open.

Central locking will not unlock all the doors.

At a loss as to reason, anyone got an idea where I should look.

2003. 2.00 Diesel Do not have the fobs, and never came with the car. Locking and unlocking with the key, and was all working okay for the last year. Just yesterday started this weird ****.

You'll probably need to inform your insurance company, as the security system isn't approved when locked with the key. It doesn't set interior movement detection or dead lock the doors, which makes the vehicle much less secure.

As to your issue. I would look for low battery voltage, or bad earth connections.

The rear window sounds like it needs calibration, or cables.

Is the headlining at the rear to the rear passenger interior light sopping wet?

Thanks

No evidence of being wet. More concerned with the Alarm, and that central locking is now not working, Unlock Driver door with key other doors won't unlock.

Wife worried that she could get locked out of car :(

What would make the alarm, (considering never had the fob) to start activating when you start with the key...

The rear window will go down when the car's battery is disconnected and reconnected again - so I'd have thought that there is some kind of loose electrical connection. It wouldn't be an earth on the window motor as its the car's central computer 'CCU' that winds the window down.

IIRC, the CCU also controls the alarm and locking.

So with coincidences like that - I'd be looking at the connections to the CCU or a possible fault in the CCU. My first step would be to examine the connections to the CCU, make sure there's no corrosion and that all the sockets are firmly connected. Not sure where the CCU is - I believe its bolted to the back of the passenger compartment fuse box, but I'm probably wrong. You'd be advised to download the LR 'Rave' workshop manual and have a look in there fore the CCU. Info on downloading Rave here...

The reason I ask is because it was the reason why my alarm keeps going off by shorting the passenger light and thus setting the alarm off.
If you turn the key in the lock once to the right (To unlock) Then do it again so the super lock disengage do all the other door locks open?

If you are going to take the battery cable off as Grumpy says make sure at least one door is unlocked ;)

Used to open all the doors with the 2nd turn of the key. Now only unlocks the drivers doors, and no longer hear the central locking click. Think that is why the back door no longer opens. as it is central locking control only. where we can open the other doors from the inside, the rear door has no inside lock.

Sounds like all the locks have blown, I can only unlock 3 doors and tailgate with my fobs the othe door only from the inside

Bit more info on this. When I start the car, I can unlock the doors by hand on the inside. I can also unlock doors by hand when turned off. Once I turn the car of, all the doors lock, and hear central locking click.
I can unlock again from the inside, by hand, and they will remain unlocked.

Today, the internal light and rear boot light, come on and will not go off. I have removed bulbs, to prevent flat battery. Also disconnected the battery as a precaution, Need car for work tomorrow, and snowing outside, so cannot work at it tonight.

AS before, rear door will not unlock or open, and when started or turned off, the central locking switch on the dash will not lock or unlock. Whe I start the car, it sets of the alarm, turn of and restart, alarm is turned off.

Wait a few minutes and alarm will go of if I try and start the car.

Where is the central locking controlled from, can I disable it?

Really desperate and cant afford down time, or I do not get to work...

If the interior lights are on, then the CCU is getting a door open signal from one of the door latches (the door open switch is in the latch assembly). So you need to identify which door latch is causing the issue, which unfortunately means unplugging each latch in turn, to see if the lights go out. You'll need to test each door in turn, and be aware that there's a 10 minute time out, where the CCU turns the lights off, if a door is left open for over 10 minutes.

If it is the rear door, I am screwed as I cannot open it....I will try the Wait 10 Minutes, but I think that is not working, as wife had car, and light was on when I came home, a good 30 Minutes after she parked up....But will do a definitive check on that. Door not closed properly could be an issue, but looking more like the CCU is messing around...
