Think you misread, it's @wammers who's bottom leaks when he's left .
Welcome back, Mr Tomcat!
Good to have you around. Could do with a laugh.

Usually it is the condenser that is leaking. Bottom left is where I think Wammers said is most likely?
Other possible fault is the thermostatic expansion valve. If that is acting up it might be overpressurising and then venting and losing gas that way.
Or it could be duff seals, where the condenser joins, perhaps?
Keep an eye out for green dye!

......... I know it's about 300 quid for a 12kg cylinder but that would do around 18 fills working out to 17 quid a pop.
750g on the slam plateRAVE says you need 1100 to 1380 grams depending on vehicle = 8 to 11refills, rather than 18.
Think they managed to get around 690g in mine which aparently is quite good for an old condenser.
I have done mine using a R134 can and leak sealer off Ebay and so far so good it took a few cans of gas as it was empty but I used the one that claims to seal leaks first. The cans are the sealed aerosol type that you puncture with the tap and gauge hose, I think they are not as good as the garages use not as cold but mines working and better than nowt at about £45
got quoted £70 by local garage£45 is more than my Indy charged when I had mine done a few years ago! Mind you, Wammers reckons the price has gone up.
I refilled mine temporarily with an aerosol from the States over 8 years ago, never got round to having it done properly and it's still working if a little weak in temperatures over 40C.I have done mine using a R134 can and leak sealer off Ebay and so far so good it took a few cans of gas as it was empty but I used the one that claims to seal leaks first. Thought I'd read this in the Freelander section just seen Range Rover so probably best to get it professionally done lol
I used the halfrauds kit which was cheaper than quotes and so far working fine (well that's the kiss of death then)Kwik fit do it for 70quid but obviously needs booking in.
Mine lasts about a month or so then needs doing again so I bought the halfrauds kit last time. Still working but the comp is a bit noisy so that might be where its leaking from.
Compressor is only about 200 quid from island so I might replace it next time it stops working.
