Thanks for the comment Datatek. Would never put coils on any of my P38's. To update u, i have been working on the early Rangies since 1973. I have recycled them, built them from scratch, put combinations of engines and gearboxes in them from Perkins 3 cylinder engines to the best of the jap engines. Built up a file on them that is huge. But 3 years ago decided to buy a P38, although all my friends shook their heads. I now have 3. Also a 1971 Rangie with a galv chassis, and 4 door shell, and the Insurance Company ,and the DVLA know all about it. Also the only one in the World Coach built Utility Truck Range Rover. Sometimes i come across a problem that is illogical, so i ask around, i'm always willing to learn. When my friend plugged his Hawkeye in , he said got it, Compressor us. But it wasn't as simple as that. I changed lots of parts cause i have a spare P38 to rob. Got ****ed off cause wasn't getting anywhere, so thats when i made my kit up. Since then i bought a Black Box Nanocom, a wonderfull piece of kit. It was only 5 minutes to convert back to original EAS, and the fault came up immediately, so now i'm back on EAS, but the kit is staying in place in case of emergencies. I have friends who have pulled their hair out cause their car has refused to lift after being parked. One went through a puddle and dropped, and he drove 17 miles home on stops. So i won't have that problem. Finally ,as an enthusiast, its a challenge to make things to alleviate problems. I share my knowledge with good friends, never sneer at them, learn off them, and they off me. Finally, thanks to the people who have mailed me, and shared their experiences.
