L322 Air Suspension Problems.

I have had "Reservoir pressure static when filling" and I clear the error with the i930, however , once I drive down the road the error comes back.

Yesterday, I had two additional errors:-
1 - Articulation Validity Fault.
2 - Rear Right Height Sensor activity invalid.

Also the rear right of the car does not raise at all and is only a few inches from the top of the wheel.


I have searched the internet and there are lots of solutions but the main problem is "Reservoir pressure static when filling" appears to be the main fault.

Is it worth me trying a Hard Re-boot to see if it resets the air suspension????

Would appreciate any advice.

If the tank pressure is not raising suspect compressor, But as the tank not raising and right rear down not going up suspect leak.

With a door open it should not adjust any corner but tank should fill.

I think that "Rear Right Height Sensor activity invalid" would occur if that corner did not raise due to a leaking airspring. that might also account for the
"Reservoir pressure static when filling". That is only a guess as I'm not an expert on the L322.
 
Is there any pressure in the reservoir?
If the compressor is worn it won't fill the tank or raise the car. It may be trying to raise the right rear but as there is no air from the compressor or tank nothing happens so it may think the sensor is faulty. As @marjon says
 
Hi Backinblack,
The front both sides and rear left, lift and lower back the back stay on low. I have hard re-set the system by disconnecting the battery and has cleared all the faults on the dash and i930. However, the rear right stays low. I can hear the tank filling but nothing happens rear right.

Not sure whether it a leaking rear air suspension or Air Suspension Ride Height Level Sensor. is there a way to find out without having to buy both parts.

How do I find out of its the air spring or the sensor?????

Most likely a leaking air spring get under and spray it with a soapy water solution and look for bubbles. If the air springs are original from 2003, they will be life expired. If you have a compressor, you could pull the feed pipe and insert a short length of pipe plus a schrader valve and try inflating it manually.
 
Hi I had the same issue with a 2005 td6 I use to have and it turned out to be compressor was worn out. A simple test is to go in the boot remove spare and cover for the compressor. Locate the out air hose from compressor. Remove that then start the car put your finger over the exhaust outlet on the compressor. There should be a strong amount of air coming out . If you can block it with your finger and little pressure its 100% the compressor needs replacing or rebuilding

Yes would have been handy info in the first post too:).

So guess we are now looking at possibly a couple of issues. But leak check the offending corner first then ht sensor check.

Yes I know and as I said I had the same issue. I even changed one of the height sensors on the rear which was not rising to correct height and this made no difference. When I checked the compressor and finally replaced it, the issue was solved. I am not claiming to be an expert just giving someone the benefit of my previous experience with an almost identical issue.
 
Can the i930 raise and lower each corner individually?
If it's not leaking (which as others say seems most likely) you could try manually raising rear right with diags.

I guess a weak compressor could be overheating but strange that it could raise 3 corners and not the 4th.
