Disco 2 Air suspension AGAIN :-(

Disable the SLS then try again cos IIRC the utility function works even with disabled SLS cos if the sensor fault is present the compressor might pump on nanocom request but the system opens the exhaust valve due to the faulty sensor and the air is lost
 
You sir are an absolute genius and legend she up, 475mm from centre of wheel to wheel arch, so how do I disable it now

The carnival atmosphere was short lived, i changed the setting from air to coil to think this would disable the sls, but it now gone down onto its bump stops :(:(:(:(:(

Don't panic dude, Hang fire till James gets back to you RE disabling it when inflated. You know it can be done now!
 
try what i said and disable the SLS first then inflate and make sure that the coil configuration was saved and it's not set to transportation mode by accident... nanocom is not very reliable with the SLABS unfortunately, eventually after it's on level again unplug the electrical connectors of the two air supply valves cos there will be nothing to let the air out again...

In settings make it to coils and transportation to be disabled then next page save, if this way you'll not be able to rise it set back to air inflate then set to coils just save the setting ...wait 60 secs after that(i dont remember 100% but afaik it went when i tried though it was long ago cos since i realised that nanocom is not the best with slabs i'm using hawkeye)
 
Ok, just done that, changed from air to coils ect, seemed to have saved it by "write settings", then turn ignition off for a minute, re plug the nan back in, went into sls calibration, eventually managed to get it to pump back up, probably twice as long as before, so she' now sat at 460mm and this was the final screen shot, she didn't go down straight away like last time

If there's no leak it will stay there for weeks cos being on coils the valves should stay closed, first time maybe the setting was not saved and the system dumped the air due to the sensor fault
 
Ok, I will replace both sensors with quality ones,
I can't thank you enough for all you help and patients, If your ever in my neighbourhood, then I will buy you a beer or two
 
No worries, let's hope it will be sorted for good, replace the sensors then store the new heights with vehicle on level even if there are slight differencies in readings and after that set back to air... one problem is that i have the feeling that there's a sensor fault code stored in the ECU memory which nanocom can't see hence can't erase and that could affect the functionality....we'll see
 
Ok I understand :), I will order some new sensors tomorrow and hopefully that will sort it out, might have to see if anyone around here has a Hawkeye I can borrow :rolleyes:

I could have bet that it will be still up if the coil setting was saved... i drove 3500Km in 2 weeks with mine set to coils and bags inflated without even noticing it(even though i knew)l, disconnect the battery before you swap the sensors, then after reconnection go to calibration and save target heights .... no matter if the values are slightely different as long as the physical height is OK ... though if that dodgy sensor input is still bad it means it's a wiring issue and we'll speak then
 
So fitted the new sensors yesterday, put it back on "air,", calibrated it, and all seems fine so far,(touch wood ect) so could be sorted :)
