Air.Susp.Inactive message on 2005 L322

Just wanted to share with the community the situation.

About 2 months ago after driving from a parking lot I am getting 'Air.Susp.inactive' message on the dashboard with yellow circle and exclamation mark inside it. Stopping car, turning it off/on, removing negative battery feed, checking all fuses did not help. It was ONLY the air.susp message on the dash, there was no message that speed was limited to 25 mph or some other module failure, like breaks.

Reading codes with All Comms III got 'Precharge Pump' error code at ABS Module as well as the same 'Air susp inactive' message on suspention itself. Cleaning codes did not help - they immediately were back.

After spending weeks of reading forumes and trying to put 2 and 2 together it gave me the indication that most likely problem is not with the suspencion, precharge pump or speed/steering angle sensors - it is the prioblem with ABS module that can 'go bad'. In this cases it loses communication with other modules/components and error messages start popping up.

The suggestion was to remove the module and send for repair to shops/individuals that can do it or get the replacement module off ebay and see if that addresses the issue. The problem with the latter approach is that the module needs to come from the same type of engine and I had serious problem getting information from Ebay sellers about what type of engine it came from.

So I sent my module for repair instead. It was $200 and yesterday I got my ABS untit back repaired. The 'Precharge Pump' message from ABS is gone, Air.Susp.Inactive message is gone - I did Steering Sensor calbration by turning wheel left, right left. Suspencion is adjustable and HDC is back.

Lesson to learn - 'CAN Bus Fault' (which still remains) and 'Precharge Pump' error messages DO NOT MEAN that either of these modules are faulty. It is ABS Module that needs fix/repair.

Hope this helps to others who have similar issue.
 
One question remains - how ABS 'going bad' is manifesting itself except this 'precharge pump' message? What are other situations/messages clearly
