Im just getting everything together to do a service and was wondering if I should stick to standard or go for a K&N filter?
Its already had a de-cat pipe and egr delete but everything else is standard
What do you think?

Why not? Just chuck the K&N replacement element in the airbox and you're good to go (I've got one in my D2 TD5).HOWEVER.... there is a school of thought which reckons the filter oil on the K&N gets sucked onto the MAF sensor and buggers it up, not sure about that, unless the filter is dripping in oil in the first place.

I have a K&N filter on my Audi TT, unless you over oil the filter when you clean it you wont draw oil over the MAF.

Do it!
Just put one in mine (other car already had one). Possibilities of better performance AND it will pay for itself eventually.
