sounds like your engine is breathing heavy which could be a few things like worn piston bores/rings or valve seats.

I got myself a bit worried yesterday because there was a constant flurry of blowby coming down the breather pipe on my 200TDi, but when I did a leakage test on it the other day (the engine was hot) each of the cylinders were reading +/- 95% efficiency I couldn't figure out where it was coming from!
