Air Conditioning

Hi all... got a 52 td4 sport. Can I gas the ac easily or is it a garage job. Any pics would be helpful.

Its a garage job. It will need vacuum pressure checked, dried and charged with the right mix of gas an oil if needed.

But if there is no gas in it, there is probably a leak...maybe a loose joint, maybe a dud compressor, maybe a rotten pipe, maybe lots of things. If the system has been empty for a while seals and o-rings might have dried out. Getting a/c thats been broken a long time working again is quite often a massively expensive job.

you can buy the kit from halfruds but do not bother as said get it checked out first by a professional ,as said you may have leaking problems ,often the cause of no gas in it is you are supposed to use it for 10 minutes a week come rain snow or shine and that keeps it going failure means failure of the system, a professional will tell you what's going on with it and maybe even fix it for a fee.
