how do you know its got enough gas? get a gassing kit wiff a pressure gauge, un top it up its easy . . . .i bought one on flea bay [slob reccomended it] its the dogs ,its castrol EZ FILL ,its got test gauge gas wiff oil ,un leak detector dye and destructions if this fails. . . .then hears sum basics fer dumb arse earthlings. . .furst is the compressor belt intact /tight , ok wiff engine running ,get a helper wiff good hearing to listen for clutch solinoid [click] when a/c is pressed in [time delay on td4] nb no click could mean that gas is low or empty or clutch is stuck or fooked. . . .listen fer knockin or a rumblin sound near compressor[this is good indication of failing clutch/compressor. . . .if the compressor clutch has engaged [clicked] listen out for the the [electric fan] wirrin [time delayed] if it dunt work then whole system will overheat ,so check fuses relays and pressure switches [fink 2 on td4 . . .1 on 1,8 and series, dunt know bout v6] it is very important that you follow mings advice to the letter [snort]. . . .the bigest prob with my ac is it ant workin the light comes on in the button on the dash but thats it no cold air coming trough the pullywheel on the pump seems to be freewheeling ,seems to have gas in it , i locked up the pullywheel with a screw still no cold air any tips or common probs ?
cant remember as it were some time ago , i top it every year ,the castrol one is the best ,as i said its got all you need gaylander pressure should be about30-40 pisi eyes at 21deg c hotter it is the ore the pressure un colder its less [ambient temp] i stuck in 50 ****i eyes [not reckomended] un porky got froze to the dash board. . . . . .
