air con is on all the time on these unless you press "ac off" (led illuminated).
So, to get cold air.......... fan on, temp set to low and led off under the "ac off" button, to make it colder still, set the recirc to button to draw air from inside the cabin.

The air from the vents should have a cold "bite" to it after a few mins of being switched on, if its the same temp as the outside air or only a little cooler then you have a fault, condensers can corrode and leak on the p38's

its cold-ish but i think it could be colder

Ambient temperature makes a huge difference to the vent temperature as does the fan speed and whether its on fresh or recirculated air.

Vent temp should be somewhere between 4 and 8 degrees, the evaporator itself will not get any colder than 4 degrees, this is to stop ice crystals forming which could damage the evaporator.

If your vent temp is more than about 8ish degrees then you may need to have it regassed, to test it properly, close all the windows, engine running, A/C on and on recirc, leave it like this for at least 10 mins with a digital thermometer stuck in one of the face vents (make sure the distribution is on face) after 10 mins, read the temp.

The gas pressures should be 10-15 Bar on the high pressure side and 1-2 Bar on the low pressure side. (you wont be able to check this unless you have the equipment)

chabrolly i noticed theres a bit of water on the ground a few seconds after i park up.its about in line with the dash could it be this.

The puddle is a good sign. It shows the aircon is doing it's thing. It is the humidity it is taking out of the air inside the car.
