Disco 2 Air Compressor mod/upgrade

Hi All,

I have recently had air suspension issues that I don’t really want to have again.

In terms of prevention/monitoring, has anyone fitted some kind of indication, gauge, ammeter etc to see when the compressor is running, but critically, to see that it is running when it shouldn’t be!

Is this feasible, and if so, is it difficult?

A warning light/LED is enough to see if there is excessive compresor request , actually you'll see if the relay gets the input as to feed the compressor when it shouldnt work or it's possible that the compressor to not work when it should and you can investigate then , drill into a blank swicth on the binnacle or where ever you want to fit the LED on the dash and all you need to do is to splice in with a wire into the circuit at C0655 pin 6(brown/purple wire) and connect the LED to that wire and to earth, this is the compressor relay coil's feed)... if you remove the glovebox you can reach that plug, unplug it to be easyer to work on the wire but disconnect the battery first to not mix up the SLABS's volatile memory... also the plug might not be black but it's the second from front as you look to them but the shape and pin disposals with wire colours are as in the pic

I have one fitted to mine. It comes on for a few seconds when starting after being parked, then occasionally if I'm on a steep slope / rough ground.

It gives me a nice warm feeling that things are working as they should. Probably totally misplaced.......
