Hope you dont mind me asking for advice, but I'm posting in the hope your members will be able to help ..
We purchased a 1988 110 Station wagon converted to a 200TDI..
It has a few things that need fixing ..
(see list below) ..
We are based in London but my boss lives in Sussex and we spend quite of bit of time in Surrey ..
Can you recommend any engineers .. being a charity we cant afford to pay high commercial rates ..
Ill post on the forum also .
Many thanks in advance.

Power Steering Leak (lost all fluid over 300 miles and now is manual steering which is tough !)
Clunk on power change (suggested probable ball joint, there is quarter of a turn play in the transmission aft of the handbrake cylinder )
Investigate rattles from exhaust baffle/ cat
Service
Investigate low top speed (max 65) and high fuel consumption (22MPH at 60-65) (Turbo houses / great box ratios ? )
When breaking with the lights on one light goes out (poor earth ?)
Options to be added / worked on once we have the vehicle serviceable:-
Investigate hole on load area floor plate (Appears to be a puncture to the metal vs any sort of corrosion)
Two forward facing rear seats.
Diagonal seatbelts (or racing harness may be cheaper ?) to centre front seat, 3 x 2nd row seats, two new forward facing seats in back.[securon trade] (perhaps two inward facing seats & lap belts if very low cost for use on Camp / off the highway) )
Two side roof windows need new seals (has one set failed to get a seal on other)
Replace all door locks (has new barrels) [perhaps we can do this]
Fit rear light guards (we may be able to do this)
Buy and fit a full length anodised roof rack & ladder and front light guards to match rear. (again we may be able to fit this but Id imagine best price would be to obtain via your good self)
Investigate adding military style tow bar above existing domestic tow ball or change to combination hookup..
Sound damping kit ? (self fit ?)
I think we will be able to do all the paint work etc as it appears all cosmetic and we will paint in MoD Green.
