Do I need a proper main beam though or can I just have a set of small 55w spots with the E marking like the Hella Micros ?

So they come on with the stalk and off with stalk for the main and then have a set of aux lights as well

yep no specification as to beam pattern on a main beam headlight , as long as you can see where you are going at the speed you are travelling , its your neck !!

Look at this veh lights dennis dustcart , similar and smaller on some modern busses as well

I've overcome the biggest hurdle and gotten it running, rest is all mods to come

headlights I'll install after MOT, gonna wire up the originals as its just plug and play for them with the connectors then I can faff about again.

Main thing left is the new gearbox mount, rest has been taken care of!

ok,but it has taken an age just to get it running hasn't it.in stead of doing all this fancy crap, why not just get it up to standard running mode.then when you have ironed all the niggles out of it etc and you have tried and tested everything, then you can upgrade/feck about with it.;)

True, it has. But while I'm on a roll and all that ;)

Fancy crap wise its more or less the only fancy bit I have to do other than the plumbing, the bulk of it now is just putting the bolts back in and a little welding here and there.

Even got some paint for it :D :car:

ok,but you have changed/altered that many bits on it you might find it does not run as well as hoped and needs more work doing to it etc.just get it running/looking as normal then go from there.as you have been advised before on other things, some of us have been down this path before.listen to what others who have done this type of thing are telling you,not just me but lots of bods.

I don't doubt it'll need continuous work as its a landrover and a labour of hatred and necessity :p

It'll come together eventually though and yes it may be a slight let down in the end until I get it running perfectly but again that'll come with time :) it's not going to be sold or broken in the near future, I can say that much!

Stuck with it as a non running piece of **** for too long to just let it go like that! Something will be made of this :D

+1 with that.:D And a right I have justly earned, 7 kids from 39-10:p:D. And It is sweet satisfaction when they say in a few years later, Dad you were right:D

thought you would of said something by know? or did it go for less than you wanted?

Pressbrakes taking it off me in a couple of weeks, not sorted out a final price but I know I'll lose a little on it.

Doesn't matter so much as I can do more or less all the jobs I need with stick, my other option if I feel I'm going to lose out on too much is to wire it in at 60A and only be able to use it at half power instead of 2/3rds
