After my First Landy

Im living in s.wales and im looking to buy a first Landrover. Id like a defender, but I wouldnt rule out a disco if it was half decent. Oh and they must be derv engined. Ive got £3/3500 to spend.

Any Pointers?

Disco 200 or 300tdi. Bombproof. Check under carpets, sills and everywhere else for rust.

Im off to see one today/tomorrow. Its a disco on a R plate, but the only downside is its an auto box!! In its favour, it is going to leave me with an extra £1500 to put some add ons to it!

Is the autobox an issue?

auto not an issue but rust will be...check very carefully
