Is it on the bump stops? If so, you can drive home but it will be bloody uncomfortable. I did about 50 miles on the bump stops with a caravan on the back when I first got mineSo......85 miles from home...lovely dry drive up to Belfast........in city centre about a mile from car park....why is the EAS light on........oh dear....as predicted by all and sundry...:-(
Cable and CD at home.......ok to drive back tomorrow or ?

So just a soft fault, no 35mph message. May clear when you start it next time.Nope....not on bumpstops then..but not checked it this am...will see 1pm

A dodgy height sensor then, possibly water in the connector or corrosion, if not it wil be the sensor itself. Have a look at the readings with the diagnostics.Indeed Datatek, she was sitting in high mode, started her, still flashing wading height light, blipped the down aspect of button, cleared light on dash,, 175 mile trip in awful conditions, home safe and sound......cheers

You can buy a cheap laptop on Ebay for peanuts.I have yet to locate a neighbour/colleague with a PC based Laptop(we're a Mac family as are nearly all I know!), am away for a few days, so will leave it down to my mechanic to do a full service on and use his well worn fine tooth comb......so over next few weeks improve her bit by bit

No other name, very few newer laptops have an RS232 port, it can be recognised by a the 9 pin connector. Some do have USB and RS232, usually high spec ones, but most just have USB. If buying second hand, avoid Vista and go for XP operating system as that is easiest one to get a USB to serial adaptor working. Is there another name for the RS232 port, or how can I tell if an LT has one, or if it has USB ports it won't have one anyways?

Opps - didn't read 'passanger footwell' then yes it is either Aircon drains or the Pollen Filter Covers....
