Advice on 130/110 hicaps

Hi. I'm a Landy Virgin... so please be gentle with me!
I'm wanting to buy a demountable camper that has been made to sit on a Defender 130 or 110 hicap.
Am I right in thinking that all 130's are all hicap' but only certain 110's are built as hicaps?
I've seen the 130 in the pic below that I'm interested in looking at, but as I'm not 100% on whether they're all hicaps, I wondered whether any of you experts might be able to advise from seeing the picture?

Do you have any links or pics of the demountable body you are looking at? The hicap is not as common so it surprises me that is what it has been built for a hicap. I also do not think the 110 and 130 hicap bed is the same length, I think the 110 hicap has a longer bed which would again effect the camper body.

The 130 you have pictured is a hicap. The non hicap pick-ups followed the same lines as the body see below [pics form google:

hi caps have a longer rear body than the 110 double cabs.(body over hangs the rear cross member)

Also wider by a few inches.
If the camper was built to fit a 110it should be fine on a hi cap

You may need to stiffen the suspension up for the camper as it may handle like a boat.

Many thanks Phill. Would you recommend using air suspension - or how would you best stiffen up the suspension?
 
What is the width of the narrower bottom section? If that fits between the wheel boxes on a standard body you do t need to limit yourself to a hicap.
Doesn't the hicap offer the option of a heavier payload? The demountable weighs in at 750kg, so there's a bit of leeway for carrying more weight if required. I think the total payload weight is 1,224kg?

You can get air helpers that go inside the springs to stiffen up the ride.run this off a compressor to the PSI you want. This will help as your centre of gravity will be higher as well.
Just remember more weight you put in the rear could lift the front up as it pushes the back down. This in turn makes steering lighter

750kgs is a nice weight for the camper.
I move 1 ton bags/pallets on standard springs but does wallow around.

To the best of my knowledge the chassis and suspension is the same regardless of which rear body type is fitted. But because of that the ability to upgrade the suspension with higher rated spring and assister airbags as above is the same on both.

If the hicap has a higher payload that will just be because it was fitted with heavier duty springs.
