advice needed/what to look for!

ask the seller when it had its cam belt changed, cos if it snaps it can be quite an expensive bill
 
i had a look at it took it for a drive and when i put the diff lock on it seemed to lock each wheel individualy (i may sound like a retard here..) it didnt seem in sync if you know what i mean...the light came on though :D it drove fine apart from when you rev it up it died a bit when you let the revs off, then went back up to tick over!? (is that the spring in the fuel pump?) i got him down to £700 but i think its a bit steep even though their is no rot whatsover on it, the dash looks like somebody fitted it with a 4lb lump hammer and 6 inch nails! but im not botherd about the interior too much, but its a bit of an indication of how its been treated i guess?? im still thinking about it as the body and engine are mint...and i dont mind a bit of "fine tuneing" to get it ready for adventures! i guess i need to look at a few more to compare it to before i go down with cash!
