I've also confirmed that the fuel-pump runs when I bypass the relay...
Let me take a look and come backThanks...the Nanocom says it can't communicate with the ECU whatever the key position (I've tried all except 3). It won't load anything in the 'TD5 Engine' or the 'TD5 instruments' menus.
Is the ECU status accessible if I can't establish communication with the ECU? I.e. can I get at it through the AS10 menus on the Nanocom?
Ok you need to go:Thank you!!
How did this go?Thank you....sounds worth a try!! I'll crack on....
So glad I've got a an old fashioned 300tdi.Hi Raywin, thanks for asking. I reached the point where I just couldn't find any other fault and bit the bullet!
I paid my money and the ECU off to ecutesting.com. It tested faulty and came back from them this week. Now starts and runs like a dream...I'm very pleased.
It turned out that my 2001 TD5 has a NNN500020 ECU (which I presume isn't original?)
(And very pleased with the service from ECU Testing, too)
