Here's my experience with Adrian Flux;
1. Bought my first discovery almost two years ago:
They quoted me on the comparison websites as the cheapest, so I took out a policy with them.
2. A year went by and they send me my renewal price:
I thought it was a bit high, considering I had gained another years NCB, and had gone into a cheaper age group, but hey ho, and went with it.
3. I changed my policy for an MGB GT:
About 6 months into my second years discovery cover, I change the disco for an MG. They gave me some of my second years policy premium back, and then charged me a full 12 months policy with the MG. (Basically, they told me that they couldn't change my policy half way through (odd because they did it before for me), but they could cancel the current one, give me some rebate, and then they would set me up with a different company on the M. What they didn't tell me was that the new company's policy was a brand new one for 12 months, which is annoying because I told them that I wanted to leave Adrian flux as I wasn't happy with their prices and service).
4. MGB ownership left me empty, so I got rid, and replaced with another (older and cheaper) Discovery:
Adrian flux said that the cheapest quote that they could do, was with Aviva insurance, and that it was over 2000! I thought that was bizare, since the discovery I had insured through them only a month before, was half that. I looked online and saw that the cheapest quotes on the comparison websites were around 750 quid. They cheapest of them all, was with... you've guessed it, Aviva insurance. I call Adrian flux, and question them, only to have a defensive reply, from a sharp and patronising cow on the other end of the phone. I opt out of my policy with Adrian flux, taking 11 months of my premium with me, and spend it on insuring myself with Aviva, but saving about 1300 quid.
Will never go with them again.
