Adding a Turbocharger to Perkins 3.3L Diesel

Hi guys,

I own a 1972 Series 3 which has a 3.3L D Perkins Engine.
I'd like to add a turbocharger to it, would this harm the engine?
Can anyone recommend a turbocharger that would fit this engine?

i have got a 3ltr perkins with a turbo fitted from new, i took it out of a range rover as i didnt think it was as good as a 200 tdi engine, i would think that the 3.3 ltr engine without the turbo is quite powerful and very torky, but doesn;t rev very high, but that was just the same as the 3 ltr one with the turbo
