ACE problems

:doh: hi people pete8905 , My td5 ace is shot it has never worked but the problem now is that the drive belt is still pulling the ace pump around causing alot of smoke it will cost more than the vehicle is worth to replace the system,i know there is a vershion out there which had no ACE or AC the problem i have now is that i cant find the pullie wheel and mounting bracket to replace the ACE pump ant thoughts !

what is the problem with the system (other than the ace pump if foked) pumps can be got from the breakers for £40 pipes can be repaired with steel hydraulic pipe and the valve block costs about £50 off ebay there is some sensors and 1 costs about £80 and 2 cost i think about £30ea

hi martin pete 8905, the problem is that the people who owned the landy befor me obvousley had problems with the system because half the pipes are missing and there is no valve block on the underside at all i just have pipes going nowhere only bought it because my wife couldnt cope with my old defender clutch and she could with this one problem now is ive already spent £2 k plus rebuilding the HG and turbo and coolong system so i want the old girl to have a bit of fun in until i can afford another defender

Try fitting a belt(shorter) for the non-ACE Disco 2 and exclude the pulley from the game.

hi flay , tryed that but you still need another pulley where the ace should be landrover say there is an addaption kit but they cant find a part number

Try to find someone with less ACE on his Disco and based on the VIN try to find the pulley as replacement part for it.I have a friend with such a car but till next week he is out of the country.

you could try to get a flow of oil threw the pump
